I'd also like to draw your attention to some of my previous posts on collocations. I recommend the Oxford Collocations Dictionary to everyone involved in learning or teaching English. If you buy one, you can look up words like heresy, astronomer, astrology, admire, slavery, poverty, and prosperity, all of which were mentioned in class at some point today.
